Joshua “Greedy” Williams, a 6’5 combo guard out of Montgomery, Alabama, is picking up with the Indians right where he left off with the Demons. After starting in 17 out of 32 games at Northwestern State, a Division 1 school, Williams decided to transfer to the JUCO powerhouse, Chipola College.
One of the standout qualities you can quickly notice and appreciate about Greedy, is his composure and poise on the court. He has efficient handles, and remains unfazed whether being trapped or while attacking downhill. Greedy never allows himself to be hurried or pressured and his court vision is truly remarkable.
In terms of scoring, Greedy has a nice (lefty) jumper from beyond the arc, which he confidently sinks with ease past the arc.. Additionally, he displays a consistent one-dribble pull-up, making him a versatile offensive threat. He showcased the ability to attack off the bounce as well, finishing in traffic and a few times above the rim.
With the rich history of a power-house like Chipola College, and the vast relationships of a veteran like head coach Donnie Tyndall, expect Greedy’ to grow into one of top JUCO recruits in the country over the course of the season.
