It is never too early to start identifying and evaluating players that may emerge to be one of the top prospects in the country. Over the past 10 years the NYBL has had the pleasure of watching several current NBA players start emerging nationally in the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in our events. One name that we want to take a minute to shine some light on is Dee Jackson out of Augusta, GA.
Dontrell Jackson (2026) played up in the 15u division this weekend with the Southern Kings. “Dee” plays the game at a great pace – when he wants to accelerate he gets into the paint with ease. He has a twitch-quick first step & capable PG handles. His shot has improved each time that we have watched him this spring, and this past weekend at the Memorial Day
#ExclusiveRuns he was taking and making shots with rhythm and comfortability. Despite playing up an age group, he was able to lead his Kings team to an undefeated weekend. Dee is an emerging prospect that has the potential to start receiving national recognition in a few years. You can follow him on Instagram @mrrr.d1to keep up with him.
