Christopher Horton (2027) of Kelly Mill Middle School (SC) put on a show this past weekend at our #EliteCamp in Columbia, SC. You could tell from his approach early I the day that he didn’t come to play any games – he meant business with every dribble and shot. Horton ended up being selected to the Camp All Star Team, and was voted by the camp instructors as the Camp MVP!
Standing at 5’11, he has good size for an 8th grade guard. Horton has good ball skills and he is wired to score – and I don’t say that lightly. He knocked down shots with consistency, showing some flashy handles at times to create his jump-shot. Horton has an undeniable mixture of size, talent, athleticism, and consistently played harder than everyone on the floor.
During the spring & summer we got a chance to see nearly all of the top prospects in the class of 2027. Either at our events (NYBL Exclusive Runs League & Jr Peach State), or at other national events (Battle of Magic City & Balling On The Beach), we got an up close look at the nations best. Horton has shown great improvement from the first time we saw him up to this point now. The confidence level he is playing at now will allow his stock to really take off. Expect to see his name ranked high among the nations best soon.
